"It's a bit unusual but then, I love sprinting and just move forward - I'm not defending that much," he added.

"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep attacking.

"That running is what I'm looking for. It's good fun."

In addition to Cisse's 6 goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored eight in three appearances for Wythenshawe, while Boyd hit 5 on his debut match and Joleon Lescott, a centre-half by trade, scored a triple in one game as a striker.

The team are top of the Premier Division with 3 victories from 3 and a GD of plus nineteen.

Paul Barrow, 38, who features on the flank for the opposition, came up against ex- Wigan full-back Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his young boy who Heskey was.

"I think I was a little starstruck facing Figueroa to be honest.

"Our side competed well for a solid twenty minutes but then we had a man sent off and it was hard.

"We literally haven't ceased chatting about it - I was calling my mother and sibling on the way home.

"The opponents were all friendly, shaking our hands after the game - it was like playing a bunch of regular guys.

"Now we can't wait for the return fixture."
